About the Recipe
This Halloween Pizza features Ghostly provolone and or mozzarella slices and green and black olives make the creepy-crawlies.
Olive oil, for pan
1 lb .
pizza dough, left at room temperature for 1 hour
pizza or marinara sauce
Large pitted green and black olives
to 10 deli slices of provolone or mozzarella
Optional Meats: Cooked Ground Beef, Pepperoni, Cooked Italian Sausage
Place rack in bottom third of oven; heat to 425°F. Lightly brush large baking sheet with oil.
On lightly floured surface, shape dough into large oval; place on prepared sheet.
Spread pizza sauce on top, leaving ½-inch border all around, and bake until puffed and golden brown at edges, 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut olives in half and slice 1 half of each olive into 8 slices. Cut cheese into ghost shapes and top with small pieces of olive for eyes.
Remove pizza from oven and top with cheese ghosts. Place uncut olive halves between ghosts and use sliced olives to give each spider 8 legs.
Bake until cheese just starts to look melted, 30 to 60 seconds.
